Missing fence panels!!  The BV Fair & the NSC are missing several brown, Hi Hog, 10' panels and gate panels.  They were stored in a locked area in Barn "D".  If you have any information that would help us to solve this mystery please contact Graeme Johnstone.

The 6th Annual Equine Trade Show is happening this coming Saturday down at the Fair Grounds!  May 29th - opens at 10:00 am with morning Showcases starting at 10:30.  Afternoon Showcases will start after lunch.  Business Booths, Concession, Liberty Stallion Showcase, Horse Sale Showcase and Tack Tables.  Stallions and Sale horses are coming from as far away as PG - check them out online by clicking on the link 2010 Equine Trade Show.

Gymkhana Fun Day will start at 1:00.  HCBC required.  NSC members $10 for the day, non- members $15.   Results

The Northern Saddle Club will be hosting a Deanna Reimer Halter/Showmanship and Riding Clinic on the weekend of June 19-20.  Halter/Showmanship lessons will be on the 19th.  We are running 2 hour lessons of groups up to five people.  Cost is $20.  These lessons will be great for people with young horses, 4-H members wanting to brush up on their Showmanship skills or anyone else wanting to work on their halter and showmanship skills.
The Riding Clinic will be on the 20th.  Cost is $50. Group lessons of two people will be 1 hour and groups of 3 people will be 1 and 1/2 hours long.  
You do not have to participate in both the riding and in-hand lessons but you are more than welcome to.  If you would like to participate in this clinic please email Nicole Ewald at nicole.ewald@gmail.com or call her at 250-876-8664.

Glenn Stewart Horsemanship Clinic April 16-17, 2010.  Stage 1 is fully booked!  There is a waiting list started for the fall clinic.There will be a 1 day workshop on April 18th for those who have completed Stage 1.  Spectators are welcome, $20/day payable at the arena on the day of the clinic.  Special rates available for families.  Clinic hours 9 am - 4:30 pm daily.  For more information call Anika Gattiker (250) 846-5494 or gattiker@telus.net

"Training Thru Trust" clinic with Kyle Mills May 14-16, 2010.  Level 1 and up, depending on participants. 
Level 1  $300.00  Round Pen
Level 2  $350.00  Under Halter
Level 3  $400.00  Under Saddle
Level 4  $400.00  Under Saddle Progression
All prices include the applicable DVD, which will be sent out to the participant upon receipt of deposit.  People can sign up by calling Geri Brown (250) 847-3105 or email  info@trailsnorth.ca  This clinic works with horse and owner in small groups or individually.  Private lessons are available if time permits.

2010 MEMBER PROGRAMS

Recreational Ride/Drive Program
Members can earn rewards by logging the hours they spend riding/driving their horse.  Awards start at 25 hours and top out at 2500 hours.  At 100 hours you are awarded a NSC Recreational Ride/Drive shirt.  From then on you will be eligible to purchase exclusive Ride/Drive awards based on your accomplishments.  For more information check out the Ride/Drive Program.

2010 Awards Program
The Northern Saddle Club will grant year end High Point awards in 14 categories. Members interested in competing for HIgh Point awards can earn points at the two NSC shows to be held in 2010. Members will be required to volunteer at at least one NSC event to be eligible for these awards.  For more information check out the Awards Program.
